Before transitioning from full-time employment to focusing on raising her children, former office manager Melissa Harton served in several diverse case management positions with nonprofits, government agencies, and hospitals. An alumna of the University of Florida and Loyola College, Melissa Harton is a qualified clinical counselor.

Ms. Harton worked with therapy patients and managed their caseloads as a case manager for several mental health care providers. She later worked with the Maryland State Department of Education, where she supported education administrators and managed student paperwork and testing.

Ms. Harton also spent several years as manager of administrative services for three nonprofit organizations located in Baltimore; Power/Excel and Paul’s Place both address poverty-related issues, including unemployment and homelessness, while Maryland Nonprofits allocates funding and resources to local organizations.

Beyond her professional work, Melissa Harton supports several organic food movements, including farm-to-table recipes and sustainable produce gardening.
